What to expect from a sound/energy healing session:

Zen Healing Wellness Studio is a safe and relaxing environment.

On arrival, ring the bell for entry and you will be welcomed into the sanctuary. You remain fully clothed during the session. Please remember to dress comfy so that you can relax easily. It is recommended to avoid wearing belts or buckles or metal buttons and bring socks to keep your feet warm. When lying still, your body temperature will drop so please make sure you have enough clothing and layers to keep you feeling snug.

Private Sessions:

Once you enter the studio, the front door is secured and curtains are closed to ensure privacy for you to feel safe and to relax fully. You will be invited to remove your shoes and complete a client intake form. This is a detailed form that helps the therapist to design a sound healing session specific to your desires and needs. The first session will include extended time for you and your therapist to chat/connect and to clarify any questions you may have regarding sound/energy healing. This is also the time to mention if you would like a particular instrument included in your sound/energy journey. There is a range of affirmation cards, mindfulness tips, power animal and angel guidance cards for you to choose, should you wish help as you clarify your intention for the session.

The sound session will include time for grounding and ‘coming home’ to yourself in the space, usually including use of voice in humming. The human voice is an instrument we all have that can be used to naturally and effectively help balance and restore our whole body to harmony. It is internal massage instrument. Depending on the treatment required, you will then be asked to lie on your back on the monochord bed or on your front on the plinth and will be invited to relax and let the sounds wash over and through you for total relaxation and rejuvenation.

Silence of Integration:

At the end of your treatment, there is always several minutes of silence. This is key to the effectiveness of any treatment with sound as it gives your body, mind and soul the chance to absorb the audio vitamins received, to integrate the experience.

This silence is ended with the use of three strikes of a tingsha bell, and your therapist will lightly press your shoulder to let you know the session is ended. You will have time to gather yourself and rise. It is recommended that there is limited discussion after the session in order to help you continue integration and absorption of the experience. You will be given an after care sheet and some advice on how to continue daily sound healing care for yourself.

It is always recommended to text the next day and let your therapist know how you are feeling, how you slept, and any feedback you may have is always welcome.

Group Sessions:

Numbers will be limited and you are asked to arrive 10 minutes early. Ideally you will have pre-booked your slot and completed a client intake form online as well as prepaid for the session, as this will facilitate a smooth and flowing process on the day. You will be welcomed in, asked to remove your shoes and take a space on one of the mats provided. You are invited to wear comfortable clothing and bring all that you may need for a comfortable journey experience, such as your own yoga mat, a favourite blanket, extra padding under you if needed, cushions, eye cover, and water for hydration.

Each session will begin with time for getting comfortable in your space, choosing crystals to be with you during the meditation if you wish. Each gong soundbath begins with a short meditation to allow healing voice and sounds wash over you. At the end of every session, there will be several minutes of silence (The silence of integration). This is key to the effectiveness of any treatment with sound meditation as it gives your body, mind and soul the chance to absorb the audio vitamins received, to fully integrate the experience. This silence is ended with three strikes of a tingsha, and you will be gently guided to begin awakening your body and preparing to rise.

You will have time to gather yourself and rise. It is recommended that there is limited discussion after the session in order to help you continue integration and absorption of the experience.
